SERVICES
THE IN-BETWEEN SERVICE
You’re not ready for counselling, but you know something needs to change.
The In-Between service is four weeks of personalised email support that helps you make sense of what's happening in your relationship, so you feel clearer, less alone and see a way forward.
Does this sound like you?
You're in the thick of it.
Work, friends, parents, the house, the kids, the logistics of life.
By the time you sit down at night, it feels like there's almost nothing left to give each other…
You love your partner, but most days you feel more like co-managers of a household rather than two people in a relationship.
Sharing how you feel keeps turning into a fight, so more often than not, you just don't say anything anymore.
You wonder, sometimes, if you're even with the right person anymore, even though deep down you know you love them.
Something big has happened (like a new baby, a new job, a big move) and it's changed things between you.
You've been keeping the peace, but you're not actually feeling at peace.
You/your partner isn't ready for counselling, but you don't want to just sit and do nothing.
If this is sounding familiar, this service is probably for you.
Introducing
THE IN-BETWEEN SERVICE
You've probably already tried Googling the reasons for why your relationship is the way it is.
Maybe you’ve read articles, talked to your friends, tried a date night, a weekend away, a different way of bringing things up…. maybe you've even asked ChatGPT or Claude or some other AI and yet, none of it has quite worked.
Maybe it’s time to try something different.
The In-Between service is four weeks of personalised email support that gives you somewhere to talk through what’s been happening for you in your relationship and get a response that is based on what you’ve shared rather than generic relationship advice.
It’s somewhere between doing nothing and counselling... somewhere to talk about what's going on for you, be heard, and find a way forward.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Join
Choose Weekly Support for one personalised email reply each week or A Little More Support for two replies each week, over four weeks.
2. Complete your check-in
After signing up, you’ll receive a welcome email with a few questions to help you get started. They’re there because sometimes it’s hard to know where to begin.
Your answers help me understand what’s going on for you and what kind of support would be most helpful.
There'll also be space for you to write freely if there’s something else you want to share that the questions don’t cover.
Your four weeks begin once I receive your first completed check-in.
3. Receive your reply
I’ll read through what you’ve shared and send you a personalised email reply with support, reflection and practical guidance.
We’ll keep checking in this way over the four weeks, with you sharing what’s going on and me replying with personalised support.
Replies are provided within 48 business hours, Monday to Friday.

WHAT YOU’LL GET
Depending on what’s most useful for you and your situation, this might look like:
Replies that are specific to your relationship
(not generic advice)
Another way of looking at what's going on, so you can understand the pattern a little better
Reflective questions that will help you explore what’s happening in your relationship and make sense of it
Small things to try without it turning into another to-do list or something else you have to keep up with
An important thing to note is that this isn't a counselling service so I won't be doing clinical assessment or unpacking deep history.
What I will do is help you feel a little less alone in this, a little clearer and a little more hopeful that things can change.
Q: WHAT CAN I ASK?
A: Pretty much about anything that's happening in your relationship.
A few examples:
Is what we're going through normal? Do other couples feel like this?
We keep fighting and our fights keep going in circles. Is there a way out of it?
I feel like we don’t know each other anymore. How can we close that distance?
I feel resentful and I hate that I do. Is this normal?
We used to be close but the intimacy has gone. How do we get it back?
How do I bring something up without it turning into an argument?
I've been biting my tongue lately just to keep the peace but I'm not okay. What can I do?

THIS SERVICE ISN’T RIGHT FOR YOU IF…
You're currently experiencing:
Thoughts of suicide or self-harm
Domestic violence or coercive control
Sexual or child abuse
A mental health crisis that needs clinical support
Because the In-Between service is a reflective written check-in, it isn't designed for crisis or clinical complexity.
If any of this is true for you, please reach out to a mental health professional or crisis service. I'm happy to help point you in the right direction if you're not sure where to start.

FAQs
-
Once you've signed up, you'll receive a welcome email with everything you need to get started.
-
That's okay, you don't need to have the right words or a perfect question ready. After you sign up, I'll send you a short questionnaire to help you reflect on what's been going on and what's brought you here. There's no right or wrong answer, it's just there to give you a starting point, so you're not stuck staring at a blank page wondering what to say.
-
That's up to you. Some people decide it's helped enough to keep going on their own. Others use it as a stepping stone and book in for counselling with me. Either way, you'll walk away with more clarity and a few tools to bring into your relationship.
-
Yes, within the same limits as any counselling service, for example if there's a risk of harm to you or someone else. This is covered in more detail in the full terms and conditions.
