DEPRESSION
Depression isn’t just about feeling sad - it can show up as exhaustion, numbness, irritability, or a loss of interest in things you once loved.
It can be heavy and make even the simplest tasks feel like a struggle. Some days, it’s a dull numbness, a lack of motivation, or an overwhelming fatigue. Other days, it’s a deep sadness, self-doubt, or feeling disconnected from the world around you.
You can have people around who love you and still feel alone.
You can have a good life and still struggle to find joy.
Holding space for these realities is part of the healing process.
OUR APPROACH
At Better Days Counselling, we understand that depression is complex - it can stem from both biological factors, like brain chemistry and nervous system imbalances, and life experiences, such as loss, trauma, or prolonged stress.
Rather than viewing it as either a chemical issue or purely emotional struggle, we take a holistic approach.
Together, we’ll explore the contributing factors, whether that’s unprocessed emotions, patterns of thinking, or lifestyle influences.
By combining practical strategies with deeper self-understanding, we can work towards easing the weight of depression and helping you reconnect with yourself, your life, and the things that bring you meaning.
We’ll be right back!
